The Sauna Hub Manly project was a new 400A supply and electrical infrastructure upgrade delivered by DM Electrical for Leibke Projects, providing capacity for a new health and wellness development within the constrained Manly Corso network. Because of existing network limitations, DM Electrical coordinated network switching and load transfer with Ausgrid to free up the required capacity before installing the new supply.

Freeing up network capacity

Because of existing network limitations in the area, extensive coordination with Ausgrid was needed to free up the required capacity. DM Electrical worked closely with Ausgrid to complete network switching and load transfer, redistributing existing loads to make capacity available for the new development.

New supply installation

Once capacity was available, DM Electrical carried out civil excavation within the Manly Corso precinct to install a new underground T-joint connection to the existing Ausgrid network. From there, a new service main was run to a 400A link box within the property boundary.

From the link box, 400A consumer mains were installed via cable tray to a new 400A main switchboard. The switchboard was designed to supply three separate tenancies, giving dedicated supply to multiple commercial spaces and flexibility for future tenant fit-outs.

Delivery

DM Electrical managed every aspect of the project, including Ausgrid liaison, network switching coordination, civil works, underground installation, testing, and commissioning. All outage and connection works were staged carefully to limit disruption within the busy Manly Corso precinct.

The project was delivered and handed over to the fit-out contractor, giving the new health and wellness destination reliable electrical infrastructure.

DM Electrical can coordinate with Ausgrid to free up capacity. At Sauna Hub, network switching and load transfer redistributed existing loads to make capacity available for the new 400A supply.
