Level 2 Accredited Service Provider (ASP)

DM Electrical is fully accredited as a Level 2 ASP, authorised to design, install, maintain, and upgrade electrical service connections on the Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks.

Level 2 work covers the connection point between the distribution network and your installation. Metering, mains, sub-mains, service upgrades, private infrastructure, and the compliance coordination that goes with all of it.

Safety, Quality & Environmental Management

DM Electrical operates structured Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems aligned with WHS legislation, Service & Installation Rules, network authority standards, and Australian Standards.

Safety Management

All works are planned and undertaken under approved safety procedures. Site-specific safety planning runs before commencement to identify hazards, assess risks, and put controls in place. Pre-start meetings and toolbox talks confirm everyone is across the requirements.

SWMS & Risk Assessment

Project-specific Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are prepared for every job. Network works are carried out by trained, competent, and authorised personnel.

Quality Assurance

Quality is managed through structured inspection and testing at key stages of work. Installations are verified against approved designs, network standards, and Australian Standards before commissioning and energisation. All testing, certifications, and compliance documentation are retained.

Environmental Management

Environmental controls are built into planning and site operations. Waste management, erosion and sediment control, noise and dust mitigation, and protection of surrounding assets. Works comply with project-specific environmental requirements, council conditions, and network authority standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Level 1 ASP and when do I need one?

A Level 1 Accredited Service Provider is licensed to work directly on the high-voltage and low-voltage distribution network. You need a Level 1 for substation works, overhead and underground reticulation, network connections for new developments, and any HV asset relocation.

What's the difference between a Level 1 and Level 2 ASP?

Level 1 covers the distribution network itself (HV and LV infrastructure, substations, reticulation). Level 2 covers the connection between the network and your installation (service lines, metering, consumer mains, point of attachment). DM Electrical holds both.

Do you work directly with Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy?

Yes. We are accredited on both networks and coordinate directly with the relevant network authority for approvals, inspections, and energisation.

What areas of Sydney do you cover?

All of metropolitan Sydney. Northern Beaches, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, CBD, and out to Western Sydney and the Central Coast for larger infrastructure jobs.

How quickly can you respond to an emergency?

Under 60 minutes on the Northern Beaches for 24/7 emergency call-outs. Power loss, exposed wiring, switchboard faults, and storm damage are first-priority.

Do you handle the civil works for underground service lines?

Yes. We own excavators, tipper trucks, and cable hauling gear, so trenching, ducting, and reinstatement are all handled in-house.

Can you install or relocate a private pole or pillar?

Yes. Private poles, pillars, point-of-attachment installs, and asset relocations are core Level 2 work.

Are you licensed and insured for HV work?

Yes. Level 1 (Scheme 6697, Classes 1A-1C & 1X) and Level 2 (Scheme 5922, Classes 2A-2C & 2X) ASP accreditation on both Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks. $20M public liability with Chubb, current to March 2027. Certificate of Currency on request.

Do you provide compliance documentation after a job?

Every job. Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW), Notification of Service Work (NOSW) where applicable, test results, and network authority paperwork.

What size projects do you take on?

From single-phase service upgrades through to multi-stage infrastructure projects with full HV substation installs.

Do you work on live networks?

Yes. We have proven capability across live network environments, with authorised personnel and approved safety procedures.

Can you do a Level 2 service upgrade on a strata building?

Yes. We work directly with strata managers, building owners, and the distribution network to plan and execute the upgrade with minimal disruption.
